Can my gerbil drink from a bowl?

Yes, it can drink in a bowl, but be very careful. Make sure the water and plate is shallow, so your gerbil won't drown. If the water finished, make sure you add more. Since you'll be using a shallow bowl, keep checking it has water since you shouldn't have to much water in the bowl. I used to do that with my dwarf hamster. I had him in an aquarium, but then i bot him a bottle that attached to it. But just make sure the plate is shallow and you should be fine, Hope i helped
