On Y&R Im confused where did colin and Genevieve live when Samantha died?

I was watching the show and it showed in black and white of where the family lived...then Cane came into her house which i thought was Australia. Then the next time i saw Cane talking to Colin in GC.. now i know Cane couldnt fly back and forth this little bit of time. Now whats going on:?
